How I Put Together A Product Launch in 90 Minutes That Pulled in $10,520! It Only Took 4 Steps!
This 4 step technique has also allowed me to create launches that have converted at 17% and 22%, and it's what I use when I need to pull in a grand or more in less than 24 hours!
Dear Friend,
You've probably heard about courses that show how to launch products and improve your income. There have been $2,000 courses, in fact. I bought one and proceeded to almost have a heart attack.
Don't get me wrong. The information was good. Real good. Just too much of it. I can't even remember to change the oil in my car on time. So how the heck am I going to be able to get through 20 plus hours of "technique"...
Then use it in the real world to make money?
Can Someone Say OVERWHELM?
After barely making it through the first two hours of that course, I decided there had to be an easier way to do successful product launches.
Listen. I'm not trying to do those big six figure launches where you need 15,000 JV partners, and an "our servers crashed" email queued up the day is goes live.
No.
I just need something simple to double or triple my conversion rates, and end up with a ton of cash in a short amount of time.
The solution?
I Applied My "Instant Expert
Technology" To Product Launches
Check this out: I've figured out that no matter what the skill is you want to master, there are only 4 "main elements" you need to concern yourself with.
Create systems for those 4 elements, and you're on the fast-track to mastery.
That's what I did with my product launches. No fancy ask campaigns. No socially optimized blogs. No sneaky "our server crashed" tactics. Just an autoresponder account, a word document and a 4 step strategy.
To master product launches, you actually only need four things:
- Proof
- Story
- Scarcity
- Community
Proof -- a system for displaying the results your prospects desperately want.
Story -- choose 1 of the 3 basic story lines that make up 95% of all successful product launches. Just follow a template, and substitute your information in to make the story relevant to you.
Scarcity -- Use 1 or more of the 4 main types of scarcity found in almost all successful product launches.
Community -- Simple devices on how to create two-way dialog, so your prospects tell you exactly what they want. Then you just give them that.
Once I created systems for the 4 above things, my profits more than doubled.
PROOF!
Case Study 1:
The Gary Halbert Swipe File Package -- $3,100 in 6 days!
Proof: I took the finished product and created two videos on how to use it to create sales letters in under 14 minutes. That alone made everyone want the product.
Story: I explained how I decided to create the ultimate swipe file, better than any other on the internet (I used the "journey plot" fill in the blanks for this)
Scarcity: I gave a $10 off "buyer's only" discount for the first three days the product was live.
Community: I messed this one up! No strategy at all here!
It just goes to show you that you don't even have to get it right to make a lot of money quickly. You just have to get it "good enough."
Case Study 2:
IM Time Management: Over $2,600 in 4 days!
Proof: I held a free webinar discussing my time management concepts, then collected testimonials from that webinar to show how incredible the info was.
Story: I was sick for a while, and when I got healthy I had a super productive week, so that's why I decided to create the product, to share my strategies. (Accident plot)
Scarcity: After the first 2 days of launching, the price went up.
Community: The free webinar, and the two way feedback of me asking the list what they wanted to know about time management, then creating the course contents around their feedback.
Case Study 3:
Copywriting E-class: $2970 in 3 1/2 HOURS!
Proof: I showed some high converting sales letters, some simple techniques and gave away a free report.
Story: I realized that even though I had an actual product on how to do this, people were still struggling with the application, and so I wanted to teach them personally and hands on.
Scarcity: Only 10 spots were available for the class!
Community: I asked for feedback, and had people tell me they wanted to buy before the class went live. If I wanted to use sneaky tactics, I could've technically sold the class out before I even launched it.
Case Study 4:
Niche Selection System: $1,700 in 24 Hours, With a 22% Converting Sales Letter to my List!
Proof: Actually, I didn't really use any except for leveraging my reputation with my list from the previous launches.
Scarcity: I bundle 3 products together, each which would eventually sell separately, and they could only get the 3-for-1 deal over the span of 3 days. I tied it to a "dime sale script" where the price increased after every purchase.
Community: Again, I kind of half-assed this one. I basically got so confident at the system, that I winged everything.
It took me an hour to create the product. An hour for the sales letter. An hour for the launch!
Case Study 5:
Product University -- $10,520 in 4 1/2 HOURS!
Proof: After launching so many successful products, my list already knew I was the real deal when it came to product creation, so I leveraged that proof to launch my first high ticket eclass. I also partnered with Robert Plank, who was also a product creation wizard, which accounted for a good chunk of sales.
Story: Robert and I were friends who simply wanted to team together to create the ultimate online eclass for product creation.
Scarcity: Only 25 spots available!
Community: I asked for feedback from my list, and answered each email I got personally, while Robert asked for feedback, and answered all questions in a video, which he made available to his list.
Those Are Just SOME Of The
Launches I Did In 2008!
Off the top of my head, I can think of at least 4 other launches I did that were as good, if not better than those I listed above. But I think you get the point.
When it comes to launches, I know a thing or two.
Now a bit about how I plan launches: First, they have to be simple. No fancy guru launches for me. In fact, my most successful launch, the Product U. launch, took me 1 1/2 hours to mastermind.
Yes, that's it - 90 minutes.
The niche selection system I didn't even plan. I was that confident in my product launch method. Result: a 22% converting sales letter on launch day.
That one sure looks nice on my copywriting resume... just think if you could show a potential client results like that!
What's great is the built in "screw up" factor is accounted for. See, the thing about theory is that it often doesn't take in real world circumstances. No theory from me, just practical advice and systems. Every launch I've done I've made at least one big mess up.
The thing about my system is that it allows you to make these mistakes and still do extremely well. I built my systems to be "good enough". It's not perfect. Far from it. It's just a quick solution for easy cash. Way better cash than you'd make without a launch.
In fact, I only do launches now. I look at every product debut as an event. So does my list. That's why I keep knocking them out of the park.
How much cash are you leaving behind by not putting this system to use for you?
